Senior Wisdom: Rise to the challenges that life presents you. You can’t develop genuine character and ability by sidestepping adversity and struggles.
This day was actually the first time I’d met this Senior which for me personally can lead to certain concerns with my challenges. We weren’t two minutes into the session when all of those vanished because it was evident he was the real deal, very genuine and someone that is easy to like and be comfortable around. When his mom and I had talked about what they were looking for I remembered this bridge originally built for railway. It’s crazy narrow which blows my mind that people drive across it and incredibly cool (to me anyway lol) So it’s just kind of one of those ‘why would you pass it up and not take pictures’ kind of thing 😉
While I was enjoying editing these images with the railway bridge, I got to thinking of how we should never underestimate ourselves. Vision is believing or knowing something will come to be before you have any visible proof. History is filled with such rich lessons; I admire those before us that had vision. I mean seriously, think about it, this is a railway bridge built in 1907! That is 111 years of history, use and Purpose! And all because there were people that followed the logic of ‘Don’t go where there are roads, rather go where there is no road and leave a trail.’ The courage and sacrifices for this accomplishment does not escape me..it’s humbling as well as inspiring.
Every great dream begins with a Dreamer and that dreamer is you.
