Sunday reflections and thoughts...

It took me by surprise when I found out this guy’s senior year has arrived. Every time I look at him I’m took back to the preschooler starting school or coming in the office to see his mom way back in the day. Such sweet memories. For me there is a quote that comes to mind with him and that is:

You are not born a winner

You are not born a loser

You are born a chooser.

I’ve enjoyed watching this one on the BB court growing up. They say successful people do what they need to do even when they don’t feel like it. Success starts with self-discipline. There are numerous times I can remember passing his house and seeing him shooting outside or in the gym after school improving his game. It’s evident when he’s on the court that he’s put the time in to make his game his best. There is no doubt in my mind he can achieve whatever he sets his mind to doing.

I’m always incredibly proud watching youth take initiative to the things they are passionate about. There’s so much potential there, it’s inspiring & hopeful!  I always think, ‘there’s a kid that’s going to knock it out of the park, make a difference in this world!’ I wish it were possible for every single youth to see what I see in them. They are ALL full of limitless possibilities. Discipline is the bridge between their goals and accomplishments. After all, the most reliable way to predict the future is to create it. Let’s encourage our youth to see their potential is within them, they are already amazing. Youth are growing up in such a harsh critical world. Life is hard enough as it is so Help them see it’s not about perfection or the perceived social platform so called ‘perfect lives’. It’s about being true to themselves, and giving more unconditional love all around, including to ourselves~Happy Sunday:)
